A long tradition – in the service of taste

Destilla was founded at Nördlingen in 1969 by Erika and Franz Latka as "Destilla-Essenzen GmbH & Co. KG".

Based on Mr. Latka's wide knowledge as a chemist and distiller, gained through his many years of experience in the flavourings industry both at home and abroad, the company soon prospered.

After just one year, Destilla-Essences moved to its own premises in Kleinerdlingen near Nördlingen where in the following years the building was steadily expanded.

In 1994 Renata (née Latka) and Armin Thienel took over the running of the company and built up the international business.

This led in the year 2000 to such a dramatic expansion that the property holding company, "Latka GmbH & Co. KG" also owned by Renata and Armin Thienel's family, invested in a new building complex and redesigned the use of the existing premises. In the course of this change, the company received its present name:
Destilla GmbH

In 2005 Destilla's continuing success led to the addition of a modern logistics centre and office building, as well as to further expansion of the Development, Production and Quality Assurance departments.
